The American Institute of Architects commemorates it’s 150th anniversary by compiling a list of Americans’ favorite buildings through public votes. Eleven of them are located in Southern California. My personal favorite is the Hotel Del. Even though your home is probably your favorite building in America…take a look at some of the innovative and timeless beauties on the list.

Come on in and take your shoes off… Make yourself at home

This blog is dedicated to the area that I have called home since 1989…Point Loma/Ocean Beach, California…and everything that goes on here and how it is related to Real Estate.

While I have lived in other areas of San Diego, most notebly, North Park, Normal Heights, Hillcrest and University Heights…I have spent my time primarily at the beach.

I raised my kids here… they have been in the local pre-schools, afterschool programs, elementary, junior high and highschool. I walk on the beaches and swim in the water here. And, most of all I live in this community and watch it change and grow. I have seen lots of things change….

The new Starbucks and Trader Joes on Rosecrans, the new skate park, a brand new library in Point Loma, new condos and new businesses where military bases used to be, and of course the losses of a few local businesses over the years.

But one thing never changes….people love to be near the beach. And the people who live here are beach people. We are a tight community and it often feels like a small town out here on the Point.
